Special lecture at Codarts

I gave a special lecture to bachelor/master students majoring in classical/jazz composition at Codarts, my alma mater. I introduced the characteristics of traditional Korean art and explain my personal composition method, focusing on my compositions based on traditional Korean art and culture. I analyzed five pieces from my new project repertoire that reflect Korean tradition in different ways. It was a time to explain Korean tradition to teachers and students and suggest ways to creatively musicalize it. I felt rewarded by the deep interest the attendees showed in Korean tradition and my work, and it was a valuable time that made me think that I should continue to work to connect Korean tradition and modernity.
