10 artworks reimagined in sound
With roots in architecture and fine art, composer Nubim presents Connectivity - a boundary-blurring music project brought to life with the Nubim Kim Group, a Dutch superband. Blending jazz, Korean traditional music, and global art, this unique performance reimagines 10 artworks through sound. From Korean shamanic rhythms and Jindo Arirang to flamenco, Hemingway, and Le Corbusier - each piece becomes a musical conversation, not a decoration.
Project Highlights
▪ Modernization of Korean Traditional Arts Shamanic ritual music, folk rhythms, and melodies like Jindo Arirang are reinterpreted by Western musicians — not imitated, but recreated through equal and dynamic collaboration.
▪ Musical Reinterpretation of Global Art From flamenco to The Old Man and the Sea, from architectural ideas to sonic landscapes - the project translates visual and literary inspiration into original music. Highlights include: 🎵 Fierce Footsteps – flamenco meets contemporary classical 🎵 A Strong Will – based on Hemingway’s novel ▪ Reimagined Solos Five well-known pieces are reworked to reflect each performer’s individual style and identity, bringing the project’s theme of connectivity to life on stage.
